Accessibility statement

Updated 22 September 2026

I want everyone to be able to use this site — including people who navigate by keyboard only, people using a screen reader, and people who zoom in. The site is built to meet WCAG 2.0 at level AA, the level required by Israeli Standard IS 5568.

01

What was actually done

  • Full keyboard navigation: every link, button and field is reachable by keyboard, with a clear focus indicator and no focus traps.
  • A logical heading structure on every page, a single main heading, and a “skip to main content” link at the start of the page.
  • Contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text, in both light and dark mode.
  • The system reduced-motion preference is respected: when it is on there are no animations and content is shown in its final state immediately.
  • Full right-to-left Hebrew and left-to-right English, including correct lang and dir on every page.
  • Alternative text for images that carry information; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Comfortably sized tap targets on a phone, with no dependence on a mouse or on precise pointing.
  • The site works under browser zoom and on narrow screens, with no horizontal scrolling and no clipped content.
02

How it is tested

Testing is manual: a full keyboard pass over every page, in light and dark mode, in Hebrew and English, at phone width and at desktop width, and with the reduced-motion preference switched on. An automated check of common accessibility rules runs alongside it. Whatever those checks raise is fixed before the page goes live.

03

Limits I know about

The demo pages under /demos/ are example sites for fictional businesses. They are built and checked against the same rules, but they contain richer interactions and are therefore tested separately from the main site.

The site has not been tested against every possible combination of browser and assistive technology. If a particular combination does not work for you, write to me and I will look into it.

04

Reporting an accessibility problem

Accessibility on this site is my responsibility — Ron Tal — and I handle reports myself. If you found a page, a link or a control that is hard to use, tell me what you were trying to do and which browser you were using, and I will come back to you with an answer and a fix.
